Conditions for the competition participants

The competition is for the musicians from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary (who are residents or are students or are of the nationality of one of these states).

The competition is divided into these categories:

APPLICATION FORM

Musicians who would like to sign for the competition has to fill in the application form on the competition website (http://www.zestebrno.cz ) until the 30th April 2011.
The electronic application form will be available on the websites 17th January 2011.

COMPETITION FEE

Competition fee is 1200,- CZK and must be paid until 15. 5. 2011. by bank account transfer.

You must always write down the variable symbol (number you will receive during the registration process) into the field "Variable symbol" and the name of the competitor into the field "Message for recipient" , so that we could identify your payment!

ACCOMMODATION AND BOARDING

All the expenses related to the travels and accommodation are paid be the competitors themselves.
The competition organizer is able to book the accommodation (400,-CZK/night = 1200,-CZK/3 nights) and boarding (400,-CZK, 2x breakfest,3x lunch, 2x dinner) for the competitors on request (see application form).
We can return a part of your accomodation fees, if you will not participate in second round of the competition.

Accommodation must be paid together with the competition fee.
Accomodation fee for accompanists will be paid on arrival.

COMPETITION REPERTOIRE

All categories

The competition in categories I, II and III will be held in two rounds.

The competitor has to play the compulsory composition and after the composition of own choice. It must be played since the beginning until the end of the composition. In case that there will be listed movements of the composition on the competition repertoire, it must be played in given order.
One composition, either compulsory or optional, must be played be memory in each round.
(Trumpet, category III, 2nd round: if the competitor chooses to play by heart the part “A – obligatory composition”, (s)he must play be memory both compositions!)

The competitor of the lower categories can feel free to choose any composition from the higher category as the optional.

The competitors can be accompanied by their own accompanist, who however, has to pay his/her travel expenses. The competitor who do not bring their own accompanist with them, have to ask in the application form for the official competition accompanist.

The competitors will compete according to the alphabetical order of their surname.

All rounds of each category are public.

The production from a printed and edited music material on public is not in concordance with the law about the copyright law and the interpret takes all the responsibility and possible sanctions on his/her own.

Possible television or radio broadcasts and recordings of the competition performance are at disposition to the competition organizer and serve to the competition publicity.

The winners of the category I, II and III also earn the title of “competition laureate”. The winner of each discipline who will gain the highest score in the competition will earn the title of “Absolute winner of the discipline”.

This competition terms have been written in concordance with the Competition Rules of the “Asociace interpretační soutěže žesťových nástrojů Brno” from the 31st May 2010.

This competition terms are published in Czech, English and German language. In case of a struggle the Czech text is considered as the authentic text.
