GENERAL PROVISION

COMPETITION DATE:

30.4. - 1.5. 2011

Category JUNIOR A will take place on Saturday 30.4. 2011.
Category JUNIOR B will take place on Sunday 1.5. 2011.

COMPETITION DISCIPLINES:

Conditions for the competition participants

The competition is for the musicians from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary (who are residents or are students or are of the nationality of one of these states).

AGE GROUPS

The category Junior is divided into these subcategories according to the competitors’ age:

APPLICATION FORM

Musicians who would like to sign for the competition has to fill in the application form on the competition website (http://www.zestebrno.cz ) until the 31st March 2011.
The electronic application form will be available on the websites 17th January 2011.

COMPETITION FEE

Competition fee is 350,- CZK and must be paid until 31. 3. 2011. by bank account transfer.

You must always write down the variable symbol (number you will receive during the registration process) into the field "Variable symbol" and the name of the competitor into the field "Message for recipient" , so that we could identify your payment!

ACCOMMODATION

All travel expenses and accommodation is paid by the competitors themselves.
The competition organizer can organize the accommodation for the competitors of the category Junior and for their teacher/accompanists (one or two nights, 400,-CZK/person and night).
The competitor have to ask the accomodation in the application form.
Accommodation must be paid together with the competition fee.

COMPETITION REPERTOIRE

Category Junior A

The competitor will play the repertoire on his/her own choice, duration of which 3 – 5 minutes.

Category Junior B

The competitor will play the repertoire on his/her own choice, duration of which 4 – 5 minutes.

ALL CATEGORIES

Both the categories JUNIOR A and JUNIOR B of each discipline have only one round. The repertoire written in the application form is considered as mandatory and it is not possible to change it.

The competitors of category Junior do not have to play from memory. (It is not mandatory to play by heart.)

The competitors will play with their own accompanist who has to pay his/her travel expenses and accommodation on their own.

The competitors will compete according to the alphabetical order of their surname.

All rounds of each category are public.

The production from a printed and edited music material on public is not in concordance with the law about the copyright law and the interpret takes all the responsibility and possible sanctions on his/her own.

Possible television or radio broadcasts and recordings of the competition performance are at disposition to the competition organizer and serve to the competition publicity.

The winners also earn the title of “competition laureate”. The winner of each discipline who will gain the highest score in the competition will earn the title of “Absolute winner of the discipline”.

FINAL PROVISIONS

This competition terms have been written in concordance with the Competition Rules of the “Asociace interpretační soutěže žesťových nástrojů Brno” from the 31st May 2010.

This competition terms are published in Czech and English language. In case of a struggle the Czech text is considered as the authentic text.
